Brigadier General Iraj Masjedi, Deputy Coordinator of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force, strongly condemned the plan to disarm Hezbollah in Lebanon, describing it as an “American-Zionist plan.”
In an interview with Defapress on Monday, Masjedi stated, “Certainly, neither the people of Lebanon nor the Resistance force of Hezbollah will accept this plan, and this will never be achieved.” He emphasized that the weapons of the “Resistance” are considered by Lebanon’s people as tools to defend their land against aggressions from Israel, adding that disarmament “is not a new topic, but it is by no means practical.”
Masjedi also highlighted the readiness of Iran’s armed forces following the 12-day war with Israel, warning that any attack by adversaries would be met with a full and powerful response. “The capabilities of our forces have increased, and they are ready to respond to any threat,” he stressed.
