Two matches, two victories: Lebanon continues its perfect run in the qualifiers for the U20 Women’s Asian Cup, scheduled for 2026 in Thailand. After defeating Cambodia, the players of the national team earned a valuable win against Syria (2-1) on Friday in Yinchuan (China), as part of the second matchday of Group E.

Sherine Hasno opened the scoring for Lebanon, before the unfortunate Delnay Ismail scored an own goal, gifting the Reds their second. Despite a late Syrian reaction, Lebanon managed to maintain its lead and secure the three points.

With this second consecutive win, the Lebanese girls take sole possession of the top spot in the group with 6 points, ahead of a high-intensity final showdown against China, the host of this qualifying tournament.

The decisive clash will take place this Sunday, August 10, at 14:35 (Beirut time) at Mount Helan Stadium. Against the powerful Chinese team and their home crowd, the Lebanese players will give it their all to clinch a historic qualification to the final stage.
