The Lebanese Army arrested two individuals transporting a large quantity of weapons and ammunition in their vehicle in the Chtaura-Zahle area.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Army Command said the two suspects (M.N. and H.J.) were apprehended on June 10, 2025, after a targeted operation carried out by the Intelligence Directorate.
After a thorough search of their vehicle, the army seized shells, rockets and ammunition. A subsequent raid on their homes in the town of Tamnine (Baalbeck) uncovered an additional stockpile of weapons, ammunition, narcotics and counterfeit cash.
The items were handed over to the relevant authorities and an investigation has been launched.
