Prime Minister-designate Nawaf Salam stated on Tuesday that consultations for the formation of Lebanon’s new government are still ongoing, with no final decisions made regarding names, portfolios or the announcement date.
Salam made this statement on X to clarify recent media reports and rumors surrounding potential names, asserting that the reports were false and intended to create confusion.
“There are no final names or portfolios at this stage. I am working continuously to finalize the formation,” he added.
In his statement, the PM-designate emphasized that consultations are ongoing and that he is committed to forming a government that aligns with the aspirations of the Lebanese people and addresses the urgent need for reform.
“I remain committed to the principles and standards I have previously outlined while working to form a government that will meet the aspirations of the Lebanese people and address the urgent need for reform,” concluded the statement.
