3. Macron Announces an International Conference on Lebanon from Baabda

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and French President Emmanuel Macron held a joint press conference at Baabda Palace, where Macron announced that an international conference on Lebanon would be held "within the next few weeks." He also stressed the need for the Army to have a monopoly on weapons.

Aoun and Macron then held an extended meeting in the presence of the Speaker of Parliament, Nabih Berri, and the Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati.
