Patricia Saliby’s Potato Casserole 2 tablespoons of butter 3 large potatoes Salt and black pepper Cayenne pepper (optional) Half a cup of grated mozzarella cheese Half a cup of grated cheddar cheese 4 cups of whole milk Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C . Grease the casserole with butter. Peel potatoes and cut thick round slices. Arrange 1/3 of the potato slices in an even layer in the bottom of the casserole. Season the layer with salt, pepper and cayenne. Top evenly with the cheese mix. Repeat this process two more times for a total of three layers of potatoes. Pour in the milk until it covers the potatoes. Top with the remaining cheese and place the casserole dish in the oven for 1:30 hours until the top looks gold in color. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
