Iraq pledged to supply 200,000 tons of flour to Lebanon as part of an emergency humanitarian aid package designed to alleviate the burden of the ongoing crisis in Lebanon, following the Israeli attacks on the country. This was announced on Wednesday by caretaker Minister of Economy Amin Salam following a phone call with his Iraqi counterpart, Atheer Daoud al-Ghurairi.

According to Salam, this quantity of flour is sufficient to meet Lebanon's food needs for around eight months, thus guaranteeing the livelihood of the Lebanese population.
