Two people were killed on Friday in an Israeli air raid on the Toul region in the Nabatieh caza, southern Lebanon. The victims were identified as Hussein al-Abd Hamdan, a Hezbollah member who had survived last year’s Pager explosion, and Abbas Hassan Karaki, who was driving a Honda CR-V at the time of the strike.
Karaki’s brother, Radwan Karaki, had also been killed during the 66-day war between Israel and Hezbollah.
According to the Public Health Ministry, two other people were wounded in the attack.
Furthermore, an Israeli helicopter dropped a sound bomb over Dhaira in the Tyre caza, while another Israeli raid targeted the vicinity of a previously destroyed house in Mays al-Jabal in the Bint Jbeil caza, causing no casualties.
Earlier on Friday, an Israeli drone dropped a sound bomb near a bulldozer in the western neighborhood of Khiam, missing its target and causing no injuries. Another strike hit the town’s southern neighborhood, sparking a fire in an excavator.
In parallel, the Israeli army’s Arabic spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, announced on X that the 91st Division had completed a five-day intensive military drill “aimed at raising readiness for maximum emergency scenarios.”
According to Adraee, the exercises included simulations of sudden attacks, rapid troop mobilization and coordination between air, naval and ground units, alongside local councils and security forces.
He said the training incorporated “lessons learned from two years of fighting across all arenas,” adding that logistics, medical and maintenance units practiced evacuating the wounded under fire and providing support in emergency conditions.
