Israeli Drone Targets Car in South Lebanon, Driver Injured
An Israeli drone pursued and struck a civilian vehicle on the Seddiqin-Kafra road, wounding one person amid escalating border tensions.

An Israeli drone fired two guided missiles at a civilian “Rapid” vehicle on the Seddiqin-Kafra road in southern Lebanon on Wednesday evening, injuring the driver, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

The attack occurred in the al-Asi area, near the “al-Rimal Cooperative,” prompting ambulances to rush to the scene. Initial reports indicate that the driver survived the first strike and fled toward nearby hills. However, the drone reportedly pursued him and fired two additional missiles, striking and wounding him.

“The Israeli enemy’s airstrike on the Seddiqin-Kafra road resulted in one person being injured,” the Ministry of Health said in an official statement.

The strike comes amid heightened tensions along Lebanon’s southern border. Earlier in the day, residents of Aita al-Shaab in the Bint Jbeil district discovered a crashed Israeli drone that had fallen several days earlier. In a separate incident, an Israeli bulldozer, backed by military vehicles, crossed the border in the Ghasouna area, east of Blida and conducted excavation work inside Lebanese territory.

Around dawn, the Israeli army detonated explosives near the Ksar neighborhood on the outskirts of Mays al-Jabal and later carried out a sweeping operation with machine guns from its newly established outpost on Hammams Hill, near Khiam.

Israeli reconnaissance aircraft were also seen flying over Beirut and its southern suburbs. Later, the Health Ministry reported another strike in the town of Wadi Jilo, which left another person injured.
