
An Israeli airstrike on Friday struck the town of Aita al-Shaab in the Bint Jbeil district, killing one person, according to the Ministry of Health.
An Israeli drone also dropped a bomb near a drilling machine located between Ainata and Kounine, both in the Bint Jbeil district. Meanwhile, hostile drones and warplanes were reported flying at low altitude over the towns of Nmairiyeh, Taffata, and Kouthariyeh al-Siyad.
In the evening, a house located near the Deir Kifa cemetery was directly hit by a surface-to-surface missile, causing injuries whose exact nature and number remain to be determined. The Israeli army then announced that it had targeted a Hezbollah weapons depot in the area.
Ambulance crews immediately went to the scene to assess the situation and transport the injured, if necessary.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) announced that one of its units would safely detonate unexploded ordnance left behind by recent Israeli strikes in the Marjayoun and Tyre regions.
On Thursday night, an Israeli strike hit a prefabricated house in Maroun al-Ras, but no casualties were reported. Earlier the same day, a drone strike targeted a motorcycle in the town of Deir Siryan, killing Salim Salman al-Khatib, a member of Hezbollah’s Radwan force from the village.
