The Information and Investigation Section of State Security’s Beirut Regional Directorate has dismantled an organized network involved in smuggling cosmetics, medical equipment and large sums of money through Beirut International Airport (BIA).
In a statement released on Thursday, State Security identified the arrested individuals by their initials: R.K., A.H., K.M., A.A., T.F. and E.S. Authorities confirmed that a search and investigation bulletin had been issued for additional suspects still at large, following directives from the competent judiciary.
The operation is part of an ongoing crackdown by State Security on illicit medical activity.
In May 2025, the agency shut down and sealed an unlicensed clinic with red wax.
