At just 22 years old, Lebanese driver Stéphanie Hobeika continues her impressive rise in the British Radical Club Challenge, despite a weekend full of obstacles on the legendary Brands Hatch circuit.

The talented Lebanese driver is steadily writing her own story in the world of motorsports. Competing in the Radical Club Challenge 750, the 22-year-old rookie took part in the fourth round of the 2025 championship on the iconic Brands Hatch track in England. And even if the weekend was far from smooth, Hobeika once again showed glimpses of her full potential.

A Discovery at Full Speed

From the start, the challenge was immense: it was the very first time the Lebanese driver experienced the Grand Prix layout of Brands Hatch.

No free practice, no reference points — just one cold qualifying session.

And yet, Hobeika stunned the paddock by posting the second-fastest time for the starting grid of the second sprint.

The first battle of the weekend, however, turned into a procession: just three laps were completed before the safety car neutralized the rest of the race.

A frustrating scenario for the DW Racing driver, who had hoped for more on such an iconic circuit.

A Promising Second Sprint… Cut Short

Before the start of the second race, her team’s engineers detected an issue: the engine of her Radical SR1 wasn’t delivering full power.

But Hobeika wasn’t about to throw in the towel.

Determined, she put in a solid performance, clocking lap times at the top of the field.

She pushed forward, attacked, and closed in on a class podium… until the red flag came out.

The race was stopped prematurely, freezing her momentum.

Frustrating, yes — but also revealing: Hobeika was simply the second-fastest driver on the track.

Constant Progress

“It was a strange and slightly complicated weekend because I didn’t know the circuit at all, and I wasn’t able to test beforehand, unlike most of my competitors,”

Hobeika said after the race.

“But I’m satisfied with my level — it’s the first time I’ve gotten this close to the best lap time in my category. I thank the whole team for their work on the car. Now, full focus on Silverstone!”

Next Challenge: Silverstone

Stéphanie Hobeika will compete in the fifth round of the Radical Club Challenge on August 15–16 at the famous Silverstone circuit, in a championship that consists of seven rounds.

As a reminder, she represented Lebanon last October in Valencia at the FIA Motorsport Games, in the international karting event organized by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).
