During an official visit to Beirut, Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahd Yousef Al-Sabah, reaffirmed his country’s "unwavering support" for Lebanon and its people "under all circumstances."
Speaking after a meeting on Monday morning with President Joseph Aoun at the Baabda Presidential Palace, al-Sabah said: “We discussed security matters and ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation across various sectors.”
“The strength of Kuwaiti-Lebanese relations is rooted in deep historical and fraternal ties. Kuwait has not forgotten Lebanon’s positions during critical moments in its history.”
The Kuwaiti minister also commented on his meeting later in the day with Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, stressing that “Lebanon will remain true to itself, and the issue of (Hezbollah’s) arms will soon be resolved.”
