Hezbollah has reportedly sustained heavy losses since the outbreak of the Gaza war on October 7, 2023, according to information relayed Thursday by Al-Hadath. Approximately 10,000 fighters are said to have been put out of action, including over 4,000 killed, among them several senior military and political officials of the Shia party. These figures, which are reportedly circulating within certain diplomatic circles, have not been independently verified.

Al-Hadath also reported that the number of active Hezbollah fighters currently stands at around 60,000, while nearly 2,000 members are said to have left the organization following the death of former Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, an unverified claim at this stage. Furthermore, the majority of Hezbollah’s training centers in the Bekaa Valley and the South are said to have been shut down, and more than 80% of the territory south of the Litani River is now reportedly under the control of the Lebanese army. Most of Hezbollah’s medium and heavy weapons have either been confiscated by the army or destroyed in Israeli airstrikes.

Meanwhile, in southern Lebanon on Thursday morning, an Israeli unit reportedly infiltrated the outskirts of the village of Kfar Kila, in the Marjayoun district, where it booby-trapped and destroyed a house.

Israeli drone overflights were also reported Thursday morning over the regions of Habboush, Zaharani, Nabatiyeh, and the surrounding areas, flying at very low altitude. Other aircraft were spotted over Beirut and its southern suburb.
