
Bahraini Ambassador to Lebanon Waheed Mubarak Sayyar informed Prime Minister Nawaf Salam on Wednesday that Bahrain is preparing to reopen its embassy in Beirut and appoint a resident ambassador in the near future.
During a meeting held at the Grand Serail, Sayyar reaffirmed his country’s support for Lebanon’s recovery efforts and the rebuilding of its state institutions.
Salam, for his part, expressed gratitude for the hospitality extended during his recent emergency visit to Bahrain. He emphasized his commitment to strengthening ties between the two countries and welcomed Lebanon’s reintegration into its natural place among Arab nations.
In a separate meeting, Salam received the Chargé d’Affaires of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Embassy in Lebanon, Fahad Al Kaabi, accompanied by the UAE Foreign Minister’s envoy to the Caribbean, Omar Shehadeh. Discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation, exploring investment opportunities and providing support for Lebanon across various sectors.
