A large-scale wildfire erupted on Sunday in the forested highlands of al-Qoubaiyat, Akkar, destroying vast areas of natural woodland.
According to the National News Agency, civil defense teams from across the region, including al-Qoubaiyat, al-Bireh, Menjez, Aidamoun, Deir Jinnine, Andaket, Shadra, al-Heesha and Wadi Khaled, are actively working to contain the blaze. However, strong winds are fanning the flames, complicating firefighting efforts and making containment extremely challenging.
