The Lebanese Army on Tuesday conducted raids across several camps housing displaced Syrians in the Hamoudiyeh area (Akkar), Taybeh (Baalbek), and Saaideh, west of Baalbek.
Supported by regional intelligence services, army units carried out targeted searches for weapons, smuggled goods, individuals with irregular legal status, and persons who had crossed the border illegally.
These operations are part of a broader series of reinforced security measures in Lebanon aimed at combating smuggling and legal violations. No arrests or seizures have been officially announced by the army so far.
