An Israeli raid targeted on Tuesday evening a motorcycle on the outskirts of Yater (Bint Jbeil), killing the rider, reportedly from the Al Balaghi family, according to preliminary information.

At dawn on Tuesday, an Israeli infantry unit crossed approximately 200 meters into Lebanese territory in the Mays al-Jabal area (Marjayoun district).

The Israeli forces remained on site for more than seven hours, during which they constructed earthen berms after advancing dozens of meters past the Blue Line, they then withdrew.

It was later reported that the Israeli force, after raising the berm and seizing parts of Lebanese land in the Kroum al-Marah area east of Mays al-Jabal, withdrew early in the morning. In response, Lebanese Army intervention units, accompanied by the Intelligence Directorate (Tebnine Office) and bulldozers from the Engineering Regiment, were dispatched to remove the Israeli-erected barrier.

UN peacekeepers from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) maintained a monitoring presence in the area. The Lebanese Army was seen deploying shortly after the Israeli troops withdrew.

In a related development, a Lebanese Army unit uncovered and dismantled an Israeli espionage device camouflaged and equipped with a camera in the outskirts of the town of Blida–Marjayoun. The army also removed two Israeli-constructed earth mounds in the towns of Blida and Mays al-Jabal. The army continues to coordinate with UNIFIL amid ongoing Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty.

Explosion Heard in North Lebanon

In a separate development, a powerful explosion was heard late Monday night across several regions of northern Lebanon, particularly near the Syrian border, triggering panic among residents.

According to local sources, the blast may have been caused by the in-air detonation of a Syrian missile intercepted in Lebanese airspace. The interception reportedly occurred as Syria's air defenses attempted to repel an Israeli airstrike.

The resulting explosion created a loud blast, though no sonic boom was confirmed, contrary to some media reports.

Earlier on Monday, Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes targeting the border town of al-Qasr in the Hermel district, near the Syrian border. Additionally, three air raids were reported earlier on the outskirts of Brital, in the Baalbek district of northern Bekaa.

Meanwhile, Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee claimed via platform “X” that the Israeli military struck in the Majdal Zoun area in southern Lebanon, killing a member of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan force. He shared a video capturing the moment of the strike.
