An Israeli drone strike in the southern Lebanese town of Aitaroun on Wednesday targeted a motorcycle, killing one person, in what marks the third fatality from Israeli attacks in the region that day.
The Saudi-owned Al-Arabiya television reported that the victim was a member of Hezbollah. Shortly afterwards, the Public Health ministry announced the death of one person in an Israeli raid in Aitaroun.
The strike comes amid a continued escalation along the southern border, where Israeli forces have ramped up operations against Hezbollah targets.
In a separate development, Israeli artillery shelling was reported in the Saddanah area of southern Lebanon. There were no immediate reports of casualties from the shelling. Moreover, an Israeli infantry force protected by armored vehicles advanced towards Lebanese territory in Wadi Hunayn, south of the town of Odeisseh.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Israeli army had carried out a series of deadly drone strikes in southern Lebanon killing at least two individuals, including a senior commander from Hezbollah’s elite Radwan force, according to official and local sources.
Avichai Adraee, the Israeli army’s Arabic-language spokesperson, declared on his X account that the military had targeted and killed a Radwan force commander in the town of Yater, located in the Bint Jbeil district.

In parallel, the Ministry of Public Health had reported that the Yater strike killed one person and injured another. Local municipal officials said the victim had been operating a bulldozer, attempting to clear the rubble of his own home, when the drone strike hit.
In a separate incident on Wednesday morning, another Israeli drone targeted a vehicle in the village of Ain Baal, near the coastal city of Tyre. The occupant of the vehicle was killed, and a large fire broke out at the scene, according to media reports and eyewitnesses.
The Israeli military later confirmed that the target in Ain Baal was Hezbollah commander Hussein Nazih. The Ministry of Public Health corroborated the fatality in a subsequent statement.
