On Monday, the Lebanese Forces released the final results of the municipal elections in Zahle, showing a strong performance by their backed list, “Heart of Zahle,” despite a close race with the “Vision and Decision” list, backed by MP Michel Daher, the Kataeb Party, former MP Cesar Maalouf and Myriam Skaff’s Popular Bloc.
Preliminary counts indicate that Salim Ghazale, the candidate for the Head of Muncipality on the “Heart of Zahle” list, received 14,341 votes, while Assaad Zgheib of “Vision and Decision” earned around 7,886 votes. The “Heart of Zahle” candidates lead the upper ranks in vote totals, underscoring the Lebanese Forces’ solid presence and support in Zahle.
Sources within the Lebanese Forces described the results as “a reaffirmation of trust in structured leadership” and expressed readiness to cooperate constructively within the forthcoming municipal council.
