The Israeli army has launched an internal investigation following the disappearance of weapons from a military post near the border with Lebanon, as reported by Israeli media on Thursday.

Meanwhile in southern Lebanon, Israeli attacks continue. In Saddaneh, on the outskirts of the Shebaa region, several bombardments were reported. Israeli drones remained active over the Bekaa Valley, as well as over the towns of Maaroub and Barich in the Tyre district, and the Nabatieh region.

On Wednesday night, Israeli soldiers crossed the border into Lebanon, infiltrating Wadi Hunayn, near Odaisseh. Supported by tanks and armored vehicles, Israeli forces took up positions in the area. At the same time, flares were fired into the sky over Alma al-Shaab and Dhayra in Tyre.

In a separate development, Lebanon’s MTV reported, citing video footage, that the Lebanese Army raided a Hezbollah position in Dabach, in the Yohmor al-Shaqif area of southern Lebanon.

An Israeli military official, cited by Israeli media, praised the Lebanese Army’s recent efforts to tighten control over certain border areas in response to Hezbollah’s presence. He said the scale of these military and security operations has exceeded Israeli expectations. Nonetheless, he emphasized that the situation remains volatile and that preventing Hezbollah’s re-establishment in these areas remains a strategic priority for Israel.
