Amid Lebanon’s quest for renewal, the Beirut Marathon Association (BMA) unveiled the 2025 edition during a press conference held at the Parliament Library Hall in Nejme Square. Scheduled for Sunday, May 4, 2025, the race will take place along the Beirut Waterfront under the slogan: “Let’s Run from Finish to Start for a New Lebanon.”
A Message of Hope
The conference brought together key figures from Lebanon’s political and sports landscape, including Minister of Information Ziad Makary, MP Simon Abi Ramia, as well as diplomatic representatives, security forces, media, and civil society organizations.
In her closing speech, May El Khalil, founder of the Beirut Marathon, acknowledged the country’s challenges while reaffirming the association’s unwavering determination. She delivered a message of love and support to the people of South Lebanon, praising their resilience as a testament to the nation’s strength.
“As Lebanon looks toward the future, we want this race to be more than just a sporting event. It is a symbol of solidarity, perseverance, and hope for an entire nation.” – May El Khalil
An Event Beyond Sport
The 2025 Beirut Marathon is more than a competition—it is a pledge to a better Lebanon. Alongside its traditional race categories (42 km, half-marathon, 10 km, and popular races), the event will introduce solidarity initiatives to support national causes.
Registration will soon open on the BMA’s official website, with courses specially designed to highlight Beirut’s iconic landmarks, blending sport with cultural heritage.
At a time of national hardship, this marathon stands as a statement of unity and renewal—where every stride taken is a step toward a brighter future.
