The Israeli army claimed to have intercepted a Hezbollah surveillance drone launched from Lebanon towards Israel on Thursday.
No sirens sounded during the incident, “in accordance with protocol”, said the army.
The Israeli army's Arabic-speaking spokesman, Avichay Adraee, declared that the Israeli army “will not allow Hezbollah's terrorist activities from Lebanon and will act to eliminate any threat to the State of Israel and its citizens”.

Earlier in the day, a security alert was issued on Israel’s northern border as sirens sounded in the border villages of Ghajar and Metula, near Lebanon. Israeli media reported that the alarm was a false alert, accidentally triggered in some border settlements.
Moreover, Avichay Adraee, stated that “on Wednesday evening, an Israeli fighter jet targeted a military engineering vehicle in southern Lebanon.” He claimed the vehicle was involved in efforts to rebuild Hezbollah-linked infrastructure.
“This operation constitutes a violation of the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel,” he said.
Adraee added that the Israeli army “reaffirms its determination to act in accordance with the agreement while emphasizing its readiness to respond to Hezbollah’s actions in southern Lebanon and neutralize any threat to Israel’s security and its citizens.” His statements were posted Thursday on his X account.
Developments on the Ground
The Israeli army continues to escalate its attacks on civilian property in southern Lebanon. On Thursday morning, Israeli soldiers set fire to a villa in the Mashaaroun neighborhood, near the Markaba crossing (Marjeyoun), an area regularly targeted by Israeli strikes.
In the same area, flares were fired Wednesday night, followed by bursts of machine-gun fire and a powerful explosion. Around midnight, Israeli military vehicles advanced into Wadi Slouki (Marjeyoun).
On Thursday morning, Israeli artillery targeted the outskirts of Shebaa, firing two shells on the town’s periphery. In the Mfaylha area, west of Mays al-Jabal, Israeli vehicles were seen demolishing homes and infrastructure.
Israeli soldiers also set fire to a poultry farm in Tal al-Nahas, Deir Mimas. At the same time, an Israeli plane sprayed pesticides on orchards in Metula, before flying over the Wazzani region.
Additionally, on Wednesday evening, an Israeli drone struck an excavator parked in Yohmor el-Shaqif (Nabatiyeh).
On the ground, the Lebanese army is deployed, while UNIFIL peacekeeping troups carry out regular patrols to monitor the situation.
Against this backdrop, the Lebanese armed forces have set up a checkpoint in Khardali (Nabatiyeh) to prevent residents of Kfar Kila from returning home for security reasons.
The Emergency Operations Center of the Ministry of Health documented casualties from Wednesday’s Israeli attacks on several locations in southern Lebanon. In Majdel Selm, five people were injured, while two were wounded in Maroun al-Ras. A detainee held by Israeli forces was also reportedly injured before being released.
