Israeli Airstrike Targets a Car in Bint Jbeil, Injures LAF Personnel

An Israeli airstrike targeted a car on Monday morning along the Saf al-Hawa road near a Lebanese Army checkpoint in Bint Jbeil. 
According to a statement on X by the Lebanese Army, the strike resulted in the death of a civilian and moderate injuries to four soldiers.
Additionally, a missile was removed from the highway in the town of Shahabiya. Israeli forces also opened fire on the outskirts of Naqoura and Ras al-Naqoura, areas close to where an Israeli patrol had been targeted a day earlier. Flares were also fired over Alma al-Shaab overnight. 
The Israeli Army’s Arabic spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, issued a warning on X, urging civilians to avoid areas south of a designated line, including major towns such as Shebaa, Marjaayoun, and Naqoura. 
Meanwhile, the Lebanese Army announced plans to detonate unexploded ordnance from previous conflicts in Arnoun, Nabatiyeh, on December 9, 2024, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.


In another developments, the Israeli Army released Samir and Samer Sinan, two brothers from Ain Qenya in the Hasbaya district, after reportedly detaining them the previous day.
Hostile artillery shelling targeted the Dora neighborhood in Bint Jbeil and the village of Majdal Zoun, further contributing to the volatile situation.
Israeli media also reported that three Israeli soldiers were killed and seven others seriously injured in a minefield explosion near Ras al-Naqoura, along the border with Lebanon. 
According to the report, the blast occurred when the soldiers entered the minefield, triggering a large detonation and causing significant casualties.
