On Friday night, several houses and buildings were destroyed in the village of Khiam, which was rocked by violent explosions. On Saturday morning, columns of smoke continued to rise near a mosque in the heart of the village.
In the southern suburb of Beirut, a low-flying Israeli drone was reported overhead. Shortly afterward, a thud sounded, signaling the collapse of a building in the al-Abiad district.
The collapse came after a nearby building was hit by an Israeli raid in the final days before the November 27 truce.
Many other buildings are still at risk of collapse due to Israeli strikes on the area. This densely populated area is home to numerous homes, shops and wholesale warehouses.
