As has been the case since the implementation of the ceasefire on November 27, Israeli army Arabic spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, issued a warning to residents in Southern Lebanon on Thursday morning. He stated that until further notice, it is prohibited to travel south to specific villages and their surrounding areas, including Shebaa, Hebbariyeh, Marjayoun, Arnoun, Yohmor, Qantara, Shaqra, Barashit, Yater, and Mansouri, among others.

While emphasizing that the Israeli army does not intend to target civilians, Adraee cautioned that anyone crossing south of the specified line would be putting themselves in danger.

Developments in the field

On Thursday at dawn, an Israeli Merkava tank and bulldozer advanced from Birka al-Naqqar near Shebaa, crossing 200 meters of barbed wire to erect a barrier. After demolishing two buildings, they withdrew by 8:15 AM. The Lebanese Army's return to Birka al-Naqqar was hindered by Israeli presence.

Moreover, the Lebanese army issued a statement saying that “between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, army units will be detonating unexploded ordnance in the  fields of Qleileh – Tyre, Arnoun – Nabatieh, and Shabriha – Tyre, as well as in Ras Baalbek.

The National News Agency (NNA) reported that Civil Defense teams from the Islamic Scout Association are recovering bodies of victims from buildings destroyed by the Israeli army in the town of Chamaa.

On Wednesday, the Israeli soldiers conducted a wide-scale sweeping operation around 10 PM, using heavy machine guns in the direction of Bint Jbeil.  Additionally, an Israeli warplane launched a nighttime raid over  the Zawtar-Yohmor River. Israel also  demolished houses in Yaroun.

Adraee addresses Lebanese People

Furthermore, Adraee, in a separate tweet, addressed the Lebanese people, stating that Hezbollah's actions in Lebanon are not just military confrontations but catastrophes affecting people on all levels. He criticized Hezbollah's decisions, suggesting they are influenced by external agendas and lead to infrastructure destruction and displacement of people. Adraee questioned whether the Lebanese people would allow Hezbollah to misuse their resources for rebuilding "useless weapons" or take a stand against it.
