Violent Airstrikes at Night on the Southern Suburb of Beirut

The Israeli army conducted late at night, on Thursday, a series of airstrikes against Haret Hreik, Choueifate-Amroussieh, Burj Brajneh, and Hadeth in the southern suburb of Beirut, following and evacuation order issued by its spokesperson, Avichai Adraee.

Durin the day, at least 15 people were killed in a series of Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon and the Beqaa area.

In the village of Hellaniye, in Baalbek caza, Israeli aerial attacks resulted in six fatalities and three injuries. Three women and an infant were among the casualties.

Earlier, seven people were killed, and 19 others were wounded in al-Khader following an airstrike, according to the National News Agency (NNA). Two were also killed in Jwaya by an intense Israeli raid.

The mountain of Almat, a primarily Shiite village in the Jbeil region north of Beirut, was also the target of an Israeli raid earlier. The missile ignited a fire after falling in an unoccupied woodland region.
According to Jbeil MP Simon Abi Ramia (ex-FPM), the strike was aimed at “a forest area hosting a large number of displaced people.”

On September 23, a missile had already fallen in this area, between Almat and Ehmej.

In southern Lebanon, a drone attack targeting a motorcycle close to one of Tyre’s archaeological sites killed one person and injured another.

Israel conducted airstrikes on several villages, including Majdal Selm, Ansariya, Majdel Zoun, Jebbayn, Tayr Harfa, Jwaya, Mansouri, Khiam, Aita al-Shaab, Shehabiye and Hula.

The Israeli army also shelled the localities of Kfar Dunin and Deir Qanoun al-Nahr.

For its part, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for several attacks on military bases in Israel. It said it attacked the “Saint-John” logistics base linked to the Israeli army’s Northern Command, located between Nahariya and Acre.

Hezb also announced that it had targeted the Israeli military base of Zevulun, north of Haifa, for the second time in 24 hours, as well as several gatherings of Israeli soldiers in Malkiya, Manara, Kiryat Shmona, Misgav Am, Nahariya and Safed.

Furthermore, the pro-Iranian group reported that its fighters had “engaged in combat with Israeli soldiers in Aita al-Shaab,” claiming to have “destroyed a Merkava tank with rocket weaponry.”

According to Hezbollah, the targeted vehicle caught fire and the strike caused casualties.

On the other hand, Israeli media reported that one person was injured in a residential complex in Karmiel, Galilee, following the explosion of a rocket fired from Lebanon.

A number of surrounding buildings were also damaged.

Additionally, the Israeli army announced that it had “intercepted five rockets fired from Lebanon towards Karmiel in the Galilee.”
