The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health stated that "from September 23rd to October 11th, 2024, General Security recorded the crossing of 317,457 Syrian citizens and 115,044 Lebanese citizens into Syrian territory."

Similarly, it announced that as of Saturday (today), 187,000 displaced people (39,000 families) have been registered in the shelters listed in the national operations room's records.

Meanwhile, a source from the Syrian Immigration and Passport Department told the Syrian newspaper Al-Watan Online that the number of Lebanese arrivals reached 100,900, while the number of Syrian returnees reached 253,284.

The source continued, "Today (Saturday), 2,550 Lebanese arrivals and 2,216 Syrian returnees entered, according to a non-final statistic."

Earlier, the Lebanese Caretaker Minister of Environment and Head of the Emergency Committee, Nasser Yassin, affirmed that Lebanon has never experienced a displacement crisis like the one happening today in southern Lebanaon, the Beqaa, and the eastern and central suburbs of Beirut.

Yassin confirmed the presence of a specialized team working to assist the displaced and provide available services, indicating that the committee is securing shelter centers for many displaced people who are still sleeping on the streets.
