Hezbollah members in Yemen have reportedly been isolated by the Houthi security apparatus, according to the Yemeni media outlet Al-Jumhuriya.

They are allegedly forbidden from meeting with the leaders of the Iran-backed group, according to the media, which cites sources close to the movement. These preventive security measures reportedly include all electronic devices used by Hezbollah members.

The Houthis' tightening security measures against their allies are said to be primarily due to the revelation of numerous security breaches within Hezbollah. In fact, the beeper attack on September 17th and the death of the movement’s Secretary General, Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Tuesday, September 17th, highlighted how Mossad — Israel’s intelligence service — had infiltrated the group and its Iranian backers at the highest level.

According to Al-Jumhuriya, members of the Quds Force, the branch responsible for external operations of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Tehran’s ideological army, are also affected by these measures.

The media sources also confirmed that the Houthis have launched a large-scale operation to review all technical and military equipment they received from Iran and Hezbollah.
