On Thursday evening, a strike against "the headquarters of the 810th Harmon Brigade in the Ma'aleh Golani barracks with a barrage of Katyusha rockets" claimed by Hezbollah killed two soldiers in the Israeli army.

The Israeli army reported that "an officer and a soldier were killed and another soldier seriously injured in an anti-armor missile attack on the border with Lebanon." They, "fell in combat" in two separate incidents, according to the statement.

Hezbollah launched an air and missile attack on Israeli positions in the Galilee, which left "one dead and at least 11 wounded in Hezbollah rocket and drone attacks on areas in the Galilee," according to Israel's Channel 11.

“About 40 rockets were fired from south Lebanon towards the Upper Galilee in the past two hours,” according to a report from Israeli Channel 12

“We launched an aerial attack with a squadron of drones on the new headquarters of the Western Brigade Command, in Yaara, and hit precise targets,” Hezbollah said in a statement.

In another statement, the pro-Iranian formation declared “launching an aerial attack with a squadron of drones on enemy artillery emplacements in Beit Hillel,” claiming “hitting the positions of Israeli officers and soldiers and achieving accurate hits.”

Moreover, Hezbollah’s artillery shelled the Hanita and Zar'it barracks.

Tensions increased on Thursday late afternoon, shortly before an address by Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, scheduled two days after a large-scale Israeli attack on Hezbollah members carrying pagers and walkie-talkies.

The Israeli army launched a series of air strikes all along the border strip. Artillery fire had targeted the outskirts of Chamaa, Jebbayn (Tyre caza), Yater and Aita al-Shaab (Bint Jbeil).

Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adraee stressed on his X account that "the Israeli army is now attacking Hezbollah targets in Lebanon to damage and destroy the organization's terrorist capabilities and military infrastructure."

"Hezbollah has turned southern Lebanon into a war zone and for decades has been arming citizens' homes, digging tunnels and using them as human shields," he added.

For its part, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation (IBC) announced that the Israeli Army Chief of Staff, Herzi Halevi, had approved operational plans on the northern front. As Nasrallah began his speech, Israeli military aircraft carried out mock raids that were loudly heard over Beirut. They also broke the sound barrier at low altitude over Beirut and several other Lebanese regions, sowing panic in the ranks of the population.

On another hand, the Israeli army announced that it had "eliminating three Hezbollah operatives after planting explosive devices near the border fence."

The three were killed on Thursday morning.
