Runners Charbel Sejaan and Joanne Makari took the title in the "Run The City" 10km competitive race for men and women. The race was organized by the Beirut Marathon Association on Sunday in downtown Beirut.

A total of 1050 runners from different nationalities participated in the race, including groups of visually and hearing impaired runners. The event was an opportunity to pay tribute to the lives of the innocent martyrs of southern Lebanon and Palestine.

The starting point was Nejmeh Square, near the Chamber of Deputies, where the race was kicked off by the President of the Beirut Marathon Association, May el-Khalil. The marathon was preceded by a minute's silence in memory of runner Ali Hadraj, who died in a car accident while cycling, and runner Ghinwa Eid, who passed away from a terminal illness.

The finishing point was in the Starco area, where the runners began to arrive and were welcomed by Mrs. el-Khalil.
