Lebanese gymnast Matteo el-Beyrouthi (11 years old) participated in the 2024 International Gymnastics Championship, organized by the United Arab Emirates Gymnastics Federation. Athletes from several Arab countries took part in this championship, including the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Jordan, and Lebanon.
Matteo el-Beyrouthi, representing Club Bouddha, delivered an outstanding performance, securing four medals out of six gymnastics competitions in his age group. He clinched a gold medal in parallel bars and another in rings. Additionally, the young Lebanese gymnast grabbed two bronze medals: one in floor and another in pommel horse. In the overall standings, he secured the second place in his age category based on the total points earned.
It's worth noting that Matteo el-Beyrouthi participated in this tournament for the second consecutive year. He has been the gymnastics champion of Lebanon for three years.
