Relay Race in Beirut 150 Days Before the Paris Games
With 150 days to go until the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Games' organizing committee, is launching "La Course du Relais" in 133 countries around the world.

The global event will take place over 24 hours, starting at 9:00 AM local time in each country. Among the emblematic locations, Beirut's "Palais des Pins" square will be the stage for this sporting celebration. The race will take place on Friday, March 1, under the slogan "Land of Games."

Organized in partnership with the French Embassy in Lebanon and the Sports Academy School, the Beirut Relay Race promises to be a memorable day. The French Ambassador to Lebanon, Hervé Magro, will take part in the event alongside school principals, teachers, students and professional runners, some of whom already shone at the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Program:

- 8:15 AM - 9:15 AM: Arrival of relay race participants.

- 9:30 AM: Speeches by French Ambassador Hervé Magro, Olympic Committee President Dr. Pierre Jalakh, followed by a speech by Sports Academy School Director Dr. Georges Assaf.


- 10:00 AM: Group photo and warm-up for the first group of runners.

- 10:15 AM: Start of the first race.

- 11:00 AM: End of the first race and warm-up for the second group of runners.

- 11:15 AM: Start of the second race.

- 12:00 PM: End of the second race.

- 12:15 PM: Prize-giving ceremony.
