Israel Strikes Hezbollah Targets in Southern Lebanon and Bekaa Valley
Israeli air strike in Jannata

Israel carried out an air strike late Wednesday on a vehicle in the town of Jannata, in the southern city of Tyre, saying it targeted a Hezbollah operative.

The strike injured one passerby, according to Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency.

Then Thursday morning, an Israeli drone carried out a raid targeting a minibus on the Hosh al-Sayyed Ali road in the Hermel district of the Bekaa Valley, resulting in two fatalities. Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee claimed on X that Thursday’s strike targeted a “terrorist operative” in al-Nasiriyah in eastern Lebanon.

Following this, Israel carried out a demolition operation Thursday morning on two houses in the border town of Kfarkela. Two Israeli drones also dropped explosive bombs on the town of Houla at dawn, causing damage to an excavator and several cars, according to Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency.

The latest strikes follow a series of IDF operations conducted on Wednesday morning against Hezbollah rocket launchers positioned in southern Lebanon. The IDF stated that several launch sites belonging to the group were hit across the region, destroying Hezbollah military facilities as well as additional terrorist infrastructure from which operatives had recently carried out activities. The army stressed that the presence of these rocket launchers constituted a violation of the existing understandings between Israel and Lebanon.
