Early Wednesday morning, an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle in the town of Tiri with two missiles, killing one person and injuring 11 others, according to the Ministry of Public Health. A school bus carrying students happened to pass behind the targeted vehicle.
In parallel, Israeli fire struck wooded areas in the town of Yaroun.
In another operation, the Israeli army struck a house in Blida, in the Marjayoun district, using several mortar rounds. The attack caused material damage, but no casualties were reported.
Separately, the Israeli army spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, confirmed that on Tuesday the Israeli army had conducted two precision airstrikes targeting Hezbollah operatives in southern Lebanon, killing two militants. “One strike in Bint Jbeil eliminated a saboteur preparing to rebuild Hezbollah’s terrorist capabilities, while another strike in Blida neutralized an operative gathering intelligence on Israeli forces,” according to Adraee.
The army stated that these actions were in response to violations of understandings between Israel and Lebanon, emphasizing that it will continue operations to remove threats and protect Israeli territory.
Meanwhile, residents of Aitaroun reported hearing explosions originating from UNIFIL operations on the outskirts of the town, indicating ongoing regional military activity.
