Elon Musk continues to push the boundaries of engineering. According to The Economic Times, the founder of SpaceX has revealed new details about his ambitious project for an underwater tunnel connecting New York to London in just 48 minutes using Hyperloop technology.
The concept is based on magnetic levitation trains propelled through vacuum tubes, eliminating almost all air resistance and enabling hypersonic speeds. The project, estimated to cost $20 trillion, would stretch over 5,000 kilometers under the Atlantic Ocean, an unprecedented engineering challenge capable of withstanding extreme pressures.
No launch date has been set yet, but the project once again illustrates Musk’s futuristic vision to reinvent global mobility.
