In its statement, the LAF said the operations were carried out with support from Intelligence Directorate patrols.
According to the statement, an army unit, also backed by an Intelligence Directorate patrol, raided the homes of wanted individuals in the town of Boudai – Baalbeck, where it seized equipment used in drug manufacturing and destroyed a cannabis plantation.
The army further reported that another unit confiscated around 52,000 Captagon pills along the Lebanese–Syrian border in the Mashari’ al-Qaa – Hermel area.
“The seized items were handed over, and investigations were launched with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities,” the statement concluded, adding that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspects.
