The 16-year-old Lebanese driver is preparing for his first international experience with a clear goal: to shine in Nicosia and take a step toward major competitions.

Young karting driver Oliver Allam (16) is about to experience a major turning point in his young career. The Lebanese driver will take part in his first international event at the famous Daytona track in Nicosia, Cyprus, from September 5 to 7, 2025.

First Step on the International Stage

This will be a big first for the talented driver, who has been training since 2018 and is already considered one of the rising stars of Lebanese karting. The competition will begin with two days of intensive testing on September 5 and 6, before the official race gets underway on Sunday, September 7.

Meticulous Preparations

Allam, who trains at the RPM circuit in Mtein, is fine-tuning his settings at the wheel of his X30 Senior, a powerful 30-horsepower kart. His goal is to rank among the best in his first outing outside Lebanon.

“I want to arrive ready and compete against the best drivers in the region. The tests will be essential for me to quickly adapt to the track and the competition,” Oliver explains with determination.

An Already Busy 2025-2026 Season

The year promises to be intense for the young driver. Already runner-up in the Lebanese IAME category (15 years and older) in 2025, Oliver will now broaden his horizons:

- Cyprus in September.

- The United Arab Emirates Championship, which will consist of 12 stages, starting with the Ras Al Khaimah Grand Prix from October 3 to 5, 2025.

- Possible participation in races in Europe to gain experience.

“I learned a lot in Lebanon, but international competition is a necessary step to progress. My goal is clear: to eventually aim for the world of Formula racing,” says Oliver, his eyes already set on the future.

Karting, the stepping Stone to Formula 1

As a reminder, karting is the basic discipline for almost all great Formula 1 drivers, from Lewis Hamilton to Max Verstappen. It builds reflexes, trajectory control and speed management. This driving school allows talented young drivers to get noticed on the international scene.

Sponsors Already on Board

Supported by a few sponsors, including the YASA association, Oliver knows he can count on a solid team to accompany him on his rise to the top.

“I would like to thank my sponsors for their confidence in me. Without them, this adventure would not be possible,” he emphasizes.
