Israeli airstrikes have targeted more than 50 sites across the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, according to Israeli media and Houthi sources.

The raids reportedly focused on key government and military infrastructure, including the presidential palace, missile bases, a Houthi fuel storage site, and a military complex near the presidential compound. Channel 14 in Israel also reported strikes on two power plants, while local sources said the Secretariat building in Tahrir Square and the Sana’a Aviation College were hit.

The Houthis reported that the attack left two people dead and five others wounded.

Houthi media added that an oil terminal and the station of a local oil company were among the targets. Israeli media indicated that the operation may also have aimed at assassinating a Houthi leader.

"The strikes were conducted in response to repeated attacks by the Huthi terrorist regime against the state of Israel and its civilians, including the launching of surface-to-surface missiles and UAVs toward Israeli territory in recent days," the military said in a statement.

Israeli aircraft were seen flying intensively over the city during the strikes, which come amid ongoing regional tensions. The raids mark a significant escalation, with both local and international observers closely monitoring the situation.
