Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are continuing their collaboration with Netflix under a revised agreement. The new deal is more flexible—but reportedly less lucrative—than their original exclusive contract.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will continue producing film and television content for Netflix, but under a more limited arrangement, the streaming giant announced Monday.
Under the revised agreement, Netflix now has the right of first refusal—meaning the platform can accept or decline a project before the couple shops it to other studios.
Financial terms were not disclosed, but the new contract is said to be less profitable, even though it offers the couple greater creative freedom.
In a statement, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria described Harry and Meghan as “powerful voices whose stories resonate with audiences everywhere.”
Meghan Markle said she was “proud” to continue working with the platform.
Their original 2020 deal, reportedly worth $100 million (though never officially confirmed), resulted in Harry & Meghan, a hit docuseries chronicling their split from the British royal family.
The series drew 23 million views in its first four days—making it Netflix’s most-watched documentary debut.
They also produced With Love, Meghan, a cooking-themed series mocked by some British media outlets, but which still garnered five million views in the first half of 2025. It became the platform’s most-watched culinary show.
The new deal includes a second season of With Love, Meghan and a special holiday episode set to air in December, Netflix confirmed.
The couple married in 2018 before stepping back from royal duties and relocating to California.
