Beirut Airport Sees Surge in Passenger Traffic in July 2025

Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport experienced a significant increase in activity during July 2025, both in terms of passenger numbers and airline traffic to and from Lebanon.

The most notable rise was in the number of incoming passengers, which jumped by over 15% compared to July 2024. A total of 873,095 passengers traveled through the airport during the seventh month of the year, the highest monthly figure recorded in 2025 so far. This brought the total number of passengers for the first seven months of the year to 3,872,223.

Passenger Movement

Passenger traffic at the airport in July rose by 16.25% compared to the same month in 2024. The number of arrivals reached 474,273, marking a 15.30% increase from 411,320 in July 2024. Departing passengers also increased by 17.49%, totaling 398,617. In contrast, transit passenger numbers dropped by 55.8%, with only 205 transit travelers recorded.

Flight Activity

A total of 5,990 flights by national, Arab, and foreign airlines operated at the airport during July, representing a 5.75% increase from July 2024. These included 2,997 incoming flights (up 5.82%) and 2,993 departures (up 5.68%).

With the close of July, the total number of passengers who passed through Beirut airport since the beginning of 2025 has reached 3,872,223, up from 3,750,999 during the same period in 2024 - an overall increase of 3.23%.
