A groundbreaking program combining advanced technology, personalized care, and scientific commitment in the service of preventive well-being.
The LAU Medical Center–Rizk Hospital has taken a major step forward in preventive medicine with the official launch, on Thursday, of its Executive Health Preventive Program. This visionary initiative, designed for executives and health-conscious individuals seeking to optimize their long-term well-being, embraces a proactive approach to screening, diagnosis, and personalized follow-up.
Developed in accordance with the latest international prevention guidelines and based on scientifically validated clinical protocols, the program offers a streamlined, intensive yet condensed care pathway. It delivers a comprehensive overview of one’s health without disrupting even the busiest schedules.
Predictive, Personalized, and Human-Centered Medicine
“This program is not just an enhanced annual check-up — it’s a gentle revolution in how we envision the healthcare of tomorrow,” explained Dr. Georges Ghanem, Program Director, in an exclusive statement to This is Beirut. “We’re offering medicine rooted in anticipation, supported by advanced biomarkers, cutting-edge imaging technologies, and a nuanced understanding of health risks. But above all, we center the individual — in all his or her biological, psychological, and social complexity.”
An Inauguration Marked by Academic Excellence
The launch event was attended by LAU President Dr. Chaouki Abdallah, Executive Vice President Dr. Zeina Khoury Stevens, and the hospital’s General Manager Mr. Sami Rizk. Also present were representatives from insurance companies, Third Party Administrators (TPAs), and numerous healthcare professionals.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Abdallah emphasized “the urgent need to move beyond treatment-centered medicine toward a model of prediction, prevention, and accountability.” He highlighted that this program reflects LAU’s ongoing commitment to global medical standards, while also addressing Lebanon’s unique healthcare context.
A Facility Designed for Comfort and Efficiency
Guests toured the hospital’s newly upgraded spaces, including executive suites, a hybrid operating room, intensive care units, the Cath Lab, and the Stroke Center. These facilities have been redesigned to combine clinical efficiency with patient comfort. As Mr. Rizk explained: “This architectural project was shaped through close collaboration between our doctors and the designers. The result is a functional, calming environment centered on the patient experience.”
Addressing Lebanon’s Public Health Challenges
In a country grappling with hospital system overload and a surge in chronic diseases, this program is timely. It addresses the growing need for smart, adaptable, and resource-efficient medical solutions.
“Prevention is no longer a luxury — it’s a strategic necessity, both for individuals and healthcare institutions,” concluded Dr. Ghanem. “This program invites us to rethink our relationship with care — focusing on continuity, precision, and humanity.”
A Regional Benchmark in the Making
Driven by LAU’s scientific expertise, the Executive Health Preventive Program aims to become a regional benchmark for premium preventive care. It’s an ambitious goal — but one deeply aligned with the institution’s mission of excellence and public service.
