In his latest haute couture collection at the Paris Fashion Week, KANZ, Ziad Nakad redefines opulence through the lens of memory, femininity and craftsmanship. Drawing on the Arabic word for "treasure," this Autumn–Winter 2025–2026 line unveils garments that evoke hidden beauty and historical richness. Set against the backdrop of a forgotten Lebanese palace, KANZ is couture reimagined as living legacy.

In his Autumn–Winter 2025–2026 haute couture collection at Paris Fashion Week, Ziad Nakad unveiled a glittering homage to what lies beneath KANZ — meaning “treasure” in Arabic — a celebration of hidden opulence and enduring elegance.

With every gown, Nakad excavates beauty from detail: sweeping silhouettes encrusted with embroidery, crystal constellations dancing across velvet and hand-stitched artistry recalling couture’s golden age. There is reverence here — for the feminine form, for craftsmanship, for heritage — but also boldness. Off-the-shoulder drapes meet sensual slits; architectural cuts find softness in layers of tulle and mousseline. This is eveningwear that commands attention with restraint.

The palette, at once regal and romantic, conjures a painter’s fantasy: wine-stained burgundy, emerald green, dusky rose, navy ink and molten metallics — gold, silver and pearl white. Rich velvets and translucent tulles create a dynamic tension between weight and lightness, modernity and memory.

Floral motifs bloom across the collection — some embroidered, others sculptural — offering a tender counterpoint to the sharp geometry of certain cuts. Metal brooches, forged like ancient relics, punctuate gowns as if unearthed from treasure chests. KANZ unveils reimagined heirlooms.

And then, the bridal finale: a crystalline dream with a close-fitting bodice, a cascading ruffle-trimmed slit and a train that shimmers like moonlight on marble. It’s less a dress, more a whisper of divinity.

Shot in an abandoned palace nestled in Lebanon’s storied mountains, the collection echoes with the past. Once a grand hotel, now a forgotten relic, the setting mirrors Nakad’s vision — breathing life back into legacy. Through KANZ, Ziad Nakad dresses women in couture and envelops them in memory, meaning and magic.
