UAE and Syria Renew Ties as Presidents Meet in Abu Dhabi

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, welcomed Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa to Abu Dhabi on Monday for a working visit.

During their meeting at Al Shati Palace, the two leaders discussed the strong ties between their countries and explored ways to enhance cooperation, particularly in economic development, to benefit both nations and their peoples.

They also exchanged views on regional issues of mutual interest, emphasizing the importance of strengthening peace, security and stability across the Middle East for the betterment of all its nations and peoples.

Sheikh Mohammed reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to supporting Syria and its efforts toward development, stability and a prosperous future.

In response, President al-Sharaa expressed his gratitude for the UAE’s support and commended Sheikh Mohammed’s dedication to fostering stronger bilateral relations. He wished the UAE continued success and prosperity.
