Tensions escalated in the region early Friday as Israeli airstrikes reportedly targeted multiple locations in central Iran, including the cities of Qom and Isfahan. According to Iranian state media, two people were killed and four others injured in an attack on the city of Qom.

Iranian television described the strike, which reportedly hit an apartment building in the Salarieh district of Qom, as a "terrorist attack." Israeli media outlets, however, characterized the operation as a precision strike, claiming it resulted in the assassination of a prominent figure associated with Salarieh.

Simultaneously, Iranian outlets reported at least ten explosions in Isfahan province, suggesting a broader Israeli operation. The Israeli military confirmed that its air force carried out strikes on missile facilities in central Iran.

Israel also announced that it had killed Amin Por Jodakhi, commander of the Revolutionary Guards' second drone unit.
