
Tensions rose in southern Lebanon on Saturday afternoon after a drone strike targeted the town of Beit-Lif. This comes as the Israeli army strengthens its presence on the border with Syria and Lebanon.
Injuries in Israeli Strike on Beit-Lif
In southern Lebanon, the Israeli strike targeted a “Rapid” type car in the border town of Beit Lif and reportedly left several people wounded.
The attack reportedly took place in the village's main square. Two missiles were fired, injuring at least seven people, according to a report released by the Ministry of Health.
In addition, a citizen narrowly escaped an explosion in the Houra area, near Kfar Kila, where an Israeli drone dropped a sound grenade. A second drone of the same type then launched another grenade in the Houra area, this time between Kfar Kila and Deir Mimas.
Israeli drones also flew at low altitude over the towns of Ankoun, Kfarhatta, and Arab el-Jal, in the Saïda district.
Israel Mobilizes Troops on the Border With Syria and Lebanon
Israel has carried out a major military mobilization on the borders with Lebanon and Syria, in conjunction with airstrikes on targets inside Iran.
Israeli media reported that Israeli Army reserve brigades were mobilized in the north and battalions were deployed along the borders of Lebanon and Syria.
According to the situation assessment, during the past 24 hours, the headquarters of the 146th Division and the reserve brigades “Iron Fist” (205) and “Etzioni” (6), which will serve as reserves for various scenarios in the northern arena, were mobilized.
In addition, several reserve battalions and some community defense departments along the Lebanon-Syria border have been mobilized and deployed in order to bolster defense.
