Quoted by Mehr News, Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesperson for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), emphasized his country's determination to maintain its nuclear program.

“I can assure you that [Israeli] actions have not weakened our resolve. On the contrary, they have strengthened our resolve to pursue our inalienable rights under Article 4 of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT),” he said.

Behrouz Kamalvandi confirmed the attack on the Natanz nuclear site, stressing that there were no casualties and that there is still no accurate estimate of the damage. “Most of the damage is superficial. Natanz and Fordow are underground,” he said.

According to him, “contamination, whether chemical or radiological, was detected inside the site, but we have none outside.” “There is no cause for concern outside, but we need to clean up inside,” added the AEOI spokesman.
