The Syndicate of Hospitals in Lebanon announced on Thursday the election of Dr. Pierre Yared as its new president, following a General Assembly vote that also brought in a newly appointed bureau.
According to a statement issued by the syndicate, Dr. Fadi Alame was elected vice president, Dr. Mohammad Ali Hamandi as secretary and Michel Chahine as treasurer.
The new bureau also includes members Roula Gharios, Azzam Assoum, Richard Haikal, Ali Abdallah, Ghada Karawi, Hussein Choucair, Anthony Nasr and George Ghoul.
In addition, the syndicate confirmed that the Hospital Ethics Committee was elected by acclamation, with Dr. Pierre Jalkh, Dr. Assad Charafeddine and Dr. Saoud Youssef securing the seats.
