Mobile operator Touch announced on Monday a new regional partnership through the signing of a roaming agreement with Zain Omantel International (ZOI), a major telecommunications alliance in the Middle East.

According to a company press release, the agreement will allow Zain and Omantel subscribers from eight countries – Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq, Bahrain, Sudan, South Sudan and Oman – to access roaming services on the Touch network while in Lebanon, with preferential rates designed to enhance affordability and connectivity.

Touch said the deal is part of its broader recovery strategy to reassert Lebanon’s role in the regional telecom landscape, particularly in relation to Gulf markets. By targeting Arab travelers and business visitors, the company aims to position Lebanon as a reliable and competitive roaming destination.

“As part of this initiative, we have enhanced network coverage across the country to ensure an optimal experience for visiting users,” the company stated.

Touch also highlighted its existing portfolio of roaming agreements with operators in the Gulf, Arab world, Europe and the United States. The operator said it is actively working on further technical upgrades and pricing reforms to make its international services more appealing and competitive.
