President Joseph Aoun on Tuesday received two official invitations from Qatar and France to attend high-level international summits set to take place in the coming months.
Qatari Ambassador to Lebanon, Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, delivered an invitation on behalf of Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, inviting President Aoun to participate in the second World Summit for Social Development, which will be held in Doha in November.
On the same day, French Ambassador Hervé Magro conveyed a message from French President Emmanuel Macron, inviting Aoun to take part in a summit scheduled for June 9 in Nice. The summit will focus on strengthening physical and digital connectivity, as well as addressing energy challenges across the Mediterranean region.
